As a central symbol of Nepal, the Nepalese Prayer Flag appears worn and tattered, a fallen icon. Stitching it back together with thread bearing the traditional Nepalese color palette, it calls others to help sew life back into the country. The flag already stands as such a powerful symbol of a group effort for Nepal that it struck me as the perfect subject matter for this movement. I worked from a photo courtesy of Markus Koljonen that displayed the flag in its torn state, from which I manipulated it to enhance that aspect. The people of Nepal are hurt, but with your help, we can help them get back on their feet.
